Recently someone broke into my neighbor's house. I volunteered to take a lie detector test to clear my name except im nervous of what they will ask. Even when im being truthful...i know i will be stressed and anxious. Will this have any effect? How can i calm myself during the questioning? Do polygrapgh testers also pay attention to body language and voice? I just dont want to mess up unintentionally. Thanks.

If you are telling the truth nerves will not effect a determination of deception (lies) or no deception (truth). If nerves effected the test result no one would pass, It is like sitting a school exam you may be nervous about it because something is riding on the result, but that has nothing to do with being deceptive or truthful even though you may feel the same in both situations. If you have something on your mind make sure you tell the examiner or that can effect the result not being nervous etc.
