1. EDITORIAL: "A
recent website testimony"
We recently completed
a website and advertising package
for Mr. Brad Kelly. He and his wife were very pleased
and what follows is their un-edited email...
"Thank you for
sending a receipt. Brad wanted me to
e-mail you to see how much it would cost to have
the state banner for the rest of the year, and to
see when the next Spotlight Ad is open and see if
we can't book it. We have been getting a lot of
calls so far and are very impressed with your work.
We wish we had run into you before we hired the
other guy to design our KPI website, we would have
had you do it as well." SUE ANNE KELLY
The website I designed
for the Kellys was
http://www.polygraphguy.com
The reason this package
is so effective is that you not
only get a professional website of your own, but you
get a ton of free or discounted advertising to go with
it.
I would love to do
50 or 60 more of these packages in
the upcoming year to help you all build your polygraph
business. Just give me a jingle when you are ready.
(oh and I would love
to build websites for any other
reasons as well. If you ever hear of someone needing
a website for any reason...please tell them about me)
Here are the package
details again in case you missed
them.
1 Domain name (www.yourcompany.com)
$25 value
5 Basic Listings
- $125 value
(even if you already have one, we'll give you five more)

2 INSTRUMENT FOR SALE: 1 Complete polygraph examiner's
package at a deep discount. Limestone instrument,
Dell Laptop, Countermeasure Cushion, Camera, Pentax
Printer, Biometric Scanner and more.
In March, 2004, Mr.
Richard Hickman(Dick), a long time
polygraph examiner and also a family friend purchased
a brand new, top of the line Limestone Polygraph System
and he purchased all the extra goodies as well. When
I say this system is complete...it is complete.
Bottom line is that
Dick never got the opportunity to
even run one realy test on the instrument as his doctor
demanded that he truly retire from active testing. He
has retired at least three times in the past :)
Anyway, I'm helping
him sell the package and he's
willing to give a serious discount. If interested, all
the details on a web page I put together and you can
see pictures of each of the components and other
goodies. Savings is $2,500 off the retail price.
First come, first
serve. Cash, Check, Visa/MC.
http://www.polygraphplace.com/limestoneforsale
Contact me if you
are interested. Dick has shipped the
instrument here and I'll be mailing it out to you.

4. FEATURE ARTICLE: "Limestone's call to reliability
and validity research testing" by Jamie Brown
Polygraph has always
had its skeptics. With the spread
of internet communications, this is truer than ever
before. Most criticism points to a lack of scientific
reliability and specificity, reason enough for the entire
polygraph community to be concerned.
At the same time,
polygraph examiners are confident that
their methodology works. It remains up to them to thwart
the skeptics by proving that their confidence in polygraph
methodology is scientifically sound. The only reasonable
way to bridge the gap between the seasoned examiner and
the skeptic is the tried and true process of validated
research.
Personally, as President
of Limestone Technologies, I am
determined that more research take place. We have launched
polygraph into many new directions. For instance, we have
the polygraph industry's only 16-bit hardware. What this
means is that we can provide more reliable EDA readings
than offered by conventional polygraph instruments.
Similarly, the synchronization
of video with physiological
readings is for the first time enabling researchers to
study the value of facial tells and how they relate to
other research in deception.
Finally, we have
incorporated the ability to present
visual/audio stimuli as well as a method for measuring
thermal changes caused by deception. Although we are still
considered "the new kids on the block", our creative group
of engineers is leading the way with many innovative
polygraph technologies.
Skepticism about the validity of polygraph has become a
health hazard to the practice of polygraph worldwide and
it is time that we take our future in our own hands. We
have always set a high premium on research.
I believe that the polygraph industry has tended to react
too defensively to recent reports, including the 2003
report of the National Academy of Sciences. Instead, we
at Limestone take those various reports as a challenge
to forge ahead to build a more scientifically-based
polygraph instrument.
We are currently co-participating in several academic
research projects to see where those new doors may lead and
how we can continually add value to our polygraph software
and instrument. We are pursuing many new ideas and look
forward to sharing our new discoveries with the entire
polygraph community."
I see the need for others in the industry to match the
steps taken by Limestone Technologies Inc. Everyone
involved in polygraph should consider themselves a
stakeholder in building a sound, scientific basis for
polygraph.
The future of polygraph
can be bright but we must all work
hard to make it so.
